Mark and Jayne Battey, the owners and founders of Miramar Farms, have over 25 years of corporate experience behind them.
In addition to building and running their own successful environmental management firm for over 15 years, they each have unique leadership and board experience in the corporate, not-for-profit, and public sectors.
In addition to her work with Miramar Farms, Jayne was appointed to the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control Board by the Governor. She is also a senior fellow and serves on the board of American Leadership Forum. Jayne received her Masters of Science degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science and her bachelor’s degree from Boston College. She is certified in the Everything DiSC® and Five Behaviors® leadership curriculum and is currently developing a somatic practice to support our efforts to reconnect people with themselves, each other, and nature.
Mark also compliments his work at Miramar Farms with board service. He was appointed by the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to serve on the San Mateo County Pension Board. In addition, he served on the board of MidPen Housing, the largest affordable housing developer in our region, for over 20 years. Mark has an MBA from Stanford University, an MSC in International Relations from the London School of Economics, and a BA from Harvard University. Over the past decade, Mark has become an avid landscape artist and builder. His creations at Miramar Farms provide special places for connection, reflection, and a moment of awe.
